US President Donald Trump stressed that the Iranian regime should not be allowed to possess nuclear weapons, stressing that the Iranian regime is issuing terrorism and spreading ballistic missiles throughout the Middle East. "The massacres carried out by the Assad regime are managed by Russia and Iran. The Iranian regime is issuing violence, terrorism and chaos, obtaining sensitive materials to develop its ballistic missile program, and spreading these missiles throughout the Middle East," he said at the Security Council session, chaired by his country's rotating presidency. Referring to Tehran, he said the world's main sponsor of terrorism, as well as conflicts in the region and beyond, must never be allowed to possess a nuclear weapon. That is why it was announced earlier this year that the United States would withdraw from Iran's nuclear deal, which allowed Iran to continue on the path of developing a bomb and gave the system a lifeline cash when it was in need for money. President Donald Trump added that the Iranian regime used the money that was available as a result of the agreement, pointing out that the US sanctions related to nuclear materials on Iran will be fully imposed in early November. Also he pointed out that his country will then seek to impose additional sanctions on Iran, stressing that the failure of any individual or entity to abide by the sanctions will lead to serious consequences. President Donald asked members of the Security Council to work with the United States to ensure that "the Iranian regime has changed its behavior and never obtained a nuclear bomb."
