Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Youm newspaper in its editorial entitled ''The Kingdom ends the Ethiopian-Eritrean conflict'' wrote that the Kingdom has consistently pursued a wise and correct policy towards its interference to reconcile conflicting countries. The tripartite summit in Jeddah held under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and HRH Crown Prince terminated a long conflict between Ethiopia and Eritrea that lasted more than two decades and led to fierce wars between the two countries, noting that the Kingdom's mediation has led to a historic peace agreement and restored normal relations between the two conflicting countries. Okaz newspaper in its editorial entitled ''The Kingdom is leading the global stability'' said that the Secretary General of the United Nations Antonio Guterres visits the Kingdom at this time of the Ethiopian-Eritrean reconciliation being patronized by the Kingdom in Jeddah and discussed with the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud latest developments at the international arena and various efforts aim at achieving world peace and stability, stressing that the Kingdom's status and great role are not only limited to the regional arena, but also extended to the global arena. The paper added that the Kingdom has been, and will be supportive of all efforts to stabilize, not only its surroundings, but all over the world, and its positions in its foreign policy and the corridors of the United Nations have always been supportive of peace and enhancement of stability.
