Asian shares were mixed on Tuesday, AP reported. Japan's benchmark Nikkei 225 lost 0.1 percent to 22,693.17, while the Kospi in South Korea gained 0.4 percent to 2,315.04. Hong Kong's Hang Seng added 0.5 percent to 27,859.95. The Shanghai Composite index jumped 1.1 percent to 2,750.77. Australia's S&P/ASX 200 fell 0.3 percent to 6,290.90. Benchmark U.S. crude added 32 cents to $70.12 a barrel on Tuesday. It had lost 0.6 percent to settle at $69.80 a barrel in New York. Brent Crude, used to price international oils, shed 10 cents to $78.05 a barrel. The dollar rose to 111.31 yen from 111.08 yen. The euro fell to $1.1601 from $1.1619.
