The General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) for Arab States, represented by the General Directorate of Information and Strategic Communication, has participated in The B18 HFCC/ASBU Coordination Conference being held in the Slovak capital, Bratislava during the period 27-31 August 2018, with the participation of a number of the GCC States and 40 participants from global broadcasting organizations . The conference discussed the coordination of global shortwave frequencies, and a coordination meeting of the participating GCC delegations was held to discuss the introduction of modern digital broadcasting techniques as well as the maintenance of frequency bands allocated to broadcasting services.
