The Mexican army have seized 10 tons of the illegal drug crystal meth in the western state of Sinaloa. The synthetic drug, found in both liquid and solid form, was hidden in sacks and barrels in the countryside near the city of Culiacan, dpa quoted the military as saying late on Wednesday. From the methamphetamine group of illegal drugs, the stimulant is addictive and can cause both physical and psychological damage. The drugs were burnt, the military said. The seizure follows the discovery of some 50 tons of crystal meth buried underground in Sinaloa last week.
