The convoys of pilgrims ascended the Holy Arafat on Monday, the ninth of the month of Dhu al-Hijjah 1439 AH within an atmosphere of faith and tranquility, praying to Almighty Allah for forgiveness, mercy and repentance. The pilgrims' convoys to ascend the Holy Arafat were accompanied by a direct security follow-up by members of various security sectors, which surrounded the roads of vehicles and pedestrians to organize them according to the plans of ascension, as well as guiding them and ensuring their safety. Alongside the roads leading to the Holy Arafat, traffic police being supported by security men and scouts are exerting best efforts to ensure smooth and flexible movements. Various government sectors working in the service of pilgrims have provided medical services, emergency, logistics and all needs of pilgrims who came from all over the world to perform the fifth pillar of Islam. Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior, Chairman of Supreme Hajj Committee, and Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Governor of Makkah Region, Chairman of Central Hajj Committee, have followed up pilgrims' ascending of the Holy Arafat, directing to provide best services for pilgrims to perform Hajj rituals easily, comfortably and safely.
