President Isaias Afwerki of the Republic of Eritrea received in capital, Asmara, today visiting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir. At the outset of the meeting, Al-Jubeir conveyed the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Crown Prince, Vice President of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Defense, to the President, who in turn sent his greetings to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and his Crown Prince as well as the government and people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. During the audience, bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Eritrea, ways of enhancing them in all fields in a way that best serves the aspiration of the two friendly countries in addition to the latest developments at the regional and international arenas and issues of mutual concern were reviewed. Following the meeting, the President gave a luncheon banquet in honor of the Saudi foreign minister and his accompanying delegation. The meeting was attended by Ambassador Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Gattan, Minister of State for African Countries Affairs; Ambassador Khalid bin Musaed Al-Anqari, Director General of the foreign minister's office; and Dr. Abdullah Al-Shareef, Charge d'Affaires of the Saudi embassy in Asmara.
