Jeddah-based British Consul General Perry Beach praised here today the efforts of the Jeddah-based Islamic Development Bank to benefit from sacrificed meat, on behalf of the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, which falls in line with other efforts exerted to facilitate pilgrimage. "During the last 36 years, I have attended the annual meeting with various consecutive Directors of the Islamic Development Bank Group and I have seen the transformations that accompanied the project since its inception in 1403H (1983), starting from the slaughter of 63,000 heads to more than one million sacrifices last year in 84 hours only, and this indicates the effective, sophisticated management and activity associated with all variables, especially in accordance with the vision of Saudi Arabia 2030," the diplomat said. The British Consul focused on the excellence of the project in terms of ensuring the safety of the correct application, according to the conditions of Sharia'h and required health-related conditions. Perry pointed out that the number of British pilgrims who will perform the rites, during the pilgrimage season this year is reaching 24,000 pilgrims and that we are grateful to the Saudi authorities, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and HRH the Crown Prince for all their efforts to ensure that all Britons who are able to perform the pilgrimage, can do so in safety and security, stressing that the Kingdom proves annually that it is leveled up to that responsibility.
