President of the State of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas is holding intensive contacts with Arab, regional and international parties, to stop ongoing aggression carried out by the Israeli occupation forces on Al Aqsa Mosque and Muslim worshipers, out there. In a statement announced by the President Office, it condemned grave Israeli violations at Al-Aqsa Mosque, the latest of which was storming by Zionist Jewish settlers backed and protected by Israeli occupation forces. Warning against the continuation of such attacks in the occupied city of Al-Quds (Jerusalem) and holy sites, it pointed out that such acts would escalate and exacerbate the already tense situation. The Palestinian presidency called on the world countries and the institutions of the international community to pressurize the Israeli occupier to stop such a dangerous escalation against the defenseless Palestinian people and abide by the laws and resolutions of the international legitimacy. Concluding by stressing the steadfastness of the Palestinian people, in general and the those of Jerusalem, in particular, it reiterated the stance of keeping the defense of sanctities and to thwart all plans of occupation that aimed, at changing the features of the Holy Mosque as well as the Church of Sepulcher, declaring that Jerusalem will remain as the eternal capital of the envisaged Palestinian viable state.
