Yemeni Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, the Deputy Chairperson of the Higher Committee for Relief, Ebtihaj al-Kamal discussed with the Deputy US Ambassador to Yemen Ana Escrogima cooperation and coordination in implementing humanitarian projects. They also discussed the rehabilitation and protection of children from the conflict-related risks, the specific projects of the Ministry including the National Plan for Women Protection, the issue of the displaced people, and efforts of the US Agency for International Development (USAID) in this field. Al-Kamal informed Escrogimat hat the Houthi militia's control of Hodeida seaport is increasing the suffering of the population. She stressed the government's keenness to maintain the flow of humanitarian aid into the country through all ports of entry including the Hodeidah port. She pointed out that the Houthis are one who obstructing the entry and delivery of humanitarian including by abducting humanitarian aid workers, confiscating relief aid and prevents access to the people in need.
