King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief) delivered here today 80 tons of dates to the World Food Programme (WFP) in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, in the presence of Charge d'Affaires of Saudi Embassy in Pakistan Habib Allah bin Abdullah Bukhari, Director of the Office of WFP in Pakistan Finbarr Curran, and representatives from Saudi Ministry of Finance and KSRelief. The Saudi Charge d'Affaires said that this gift comes within the framework of the programs being provided by the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for Pakistan annually, to meet the needs of Pakistani people and support displaced people within Pakistan in coordination with the Pakistani government and WFP. WFP Office Director in Pakistan said that this shipment of dates will be distributed as food baskets to more than 40,000 affected families, praising the programs and efforts of KSRelief. The shipment of dates comes as part of the Kingdom's donations to the WFP, which handles the distribution in a number of countries.
