King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSRelief) has continued to support ongoing agricultural projects to assist those affected by the crisis in Syria. The follow-up teams funded by KSRelief, monitored the growing of the summer vegetable crops in the beneficiaries' farms and helped them on how to deal with the agricultural pests as well as the best harvesting methods. The Riyadh-based KSRelief has also distributed 6780 agricultural baskets to beneficiaries in the cities of Daraa, Halab (Aleppo), Hama and Homs. Each basket included summer vegetables such as tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers and eggplants, 35 kg of compound fertilizers and 3.5 liters of agricultural pesticides. The support provided by KSRelief is to alleviate the suffering of the Syrian people due to the difficult humanitarian crisis in their country, and the need to revive the war-affected sectors, especially the agriculture and livestock, the most vital food security providers.
