The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, congratulated the Saudi people and Islamic nation, in an address delivered on his behalf by the Minister of Media Dr. Awwad bin Saleh Al-Awwad, on the blessed Eid Al-Fitr which falls tomorrow Friday the first of Shawal 1439 H. From his residence in the vicinity of the holy Grand Mosque in Makkah, the monarch greeted the Saudi people and Muslims everywhere, thanking Allah the Almighty that "we have successfully and comfortably completed our fasting and worshipping during the holy month of Ramadan" and sent "prayers on his messenger Prophet Mohammed (pbuh) and all his companions", appealing to Allah the Almighty "to accept the good deeds of all worshippers". He said "the Eid is a day of happiness and joy following strict worshipping which embody the significance and meanings of communication, cohesion, solidarity, tolerance, and cooperation", asking Allah the Almighty "to make it an event of gladness and pleasure and return the happy occasion" next year "to find the Islamic nation united and following the Sharia law and instructions of the Prophet (pbuh)". The monarch thanked God the Almighty "to have honored the leadership, people and government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to serve the two holy mosques and their worshippers, an honor", he said, "for which the Kingdom will spare no effort to achieve". He also thanked God the Almighty "to have helped the Kingdom to follow its founder late King Abdulaziz's suit, and his successive sons the kings of this blessed country to remain adherent to the Islamic Sharia and their endeavor to get the Islamic nation united and rejecting extremism and inflexibility". The monarch thanked God the Almighty "for his visible and invisible amenities and graces", appealing to Him "to make better the status of all Muslims everywhere, preserve the entire world against harms, bestow his mercy on the souls of martyrs who spared their lives for their religion and nation and pour mercy on all deceased Muslims". Wishing everybody to enjoy a good Eid and peace, mercy and bless of Allah the Almighty, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques concluded his speech by saying "Kullu Aam Wa Antum Bi Khair Wa Al-Salamu Alaykum Wa Rahmatu Allahi Wa Barakatu".
