A statement on the economic crisis in Jordan is issued: "In response to the invitation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, a meeting including the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein of Jordan, Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah of Kuwait and Vice President and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Makhtoum of the United Arab Emirates, who is also Ruler of Dubai, is held here today in Makkah to discuss the economic crisis in Jordan and ways of overcoming this crisis. Based on the fraternal and strong bonds among the four countries as well as the Arab and Islamic values and principles, the three countries ( Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and UAE) agreed to provide a package of economic aid ($ 2,500,000,000) to Jordan as follows: 1-Deposit at the Jordanian Central Bank. 2- Guarantees for the World Bank in the interest of Jordan. 3- Annual support for the Jordanian Government's budget over the coming five years. 4- Financing from the development funds for the developmental projects.
