Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi discussed here today with UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process Nikolay Mladenov the latest political developments in the region, especially the Palestinian issue. Safadi said that the immediate start of the international investigation into the massacre committed by the Israeli occupation forces against civilians in the Gaza Strip last week is a necessity. Safadi and Mladenov reviewed the challenges facing efforts to find a political horizon to resolve the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and ways of working together to overcome them. The two sides agreed that the efforts of the international community should be united to break the stalemate in the peace process and progress towards a two-state solution
