The Ministry of Finance welcomed the statement issued by the experts' mission of International Monetary Fund (IMF) which has visited the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for Article IV Consultations during the period from 2-14 May 2018, as the statment forecasted improving growth for the current year and the medium term, and made progress in the implementation of ambitious reforms under the Kingdom's vision 2030. The statement considered the implementation of some non-oil revenue initiatives a remarkable achievement, noting that the improvement of the business climate is making great progress through the modernization of the government procurement system, and facilitation of the licensing and regulation of enterprises. In remarks on the issue, Minister of Finance Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Jadaan said that the statement confirms the progress made by the Kingdom's government in implementing economic and structural reforms, especially in light of the positive results of the first quarterly report on the performance of the general budget for the current year 2018.
