US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo imposed a series of U.S. conditions and demands on Iranian regime, threatening to embark on the most strongest sanctions on the Iranian regime if it does not change its course on many issues. In a speech at the Heritage Foundation, Pompeo said that Iran has exploited the current nuclear deal to turn the region into a battlefield of wars and used the funds it has earned to expand its influence and finance the activities of its proxy terrorist organizations. "The US administration will prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons and will obstruct its destabilizing activities", US Secretary of State said, adding that Washington is ready to take steps to benefit the Iranian people and will stop all sanctions and restore diplomatic relations and support in many other aspects if Iranian regime committed to changing its approach in the region. Pompeo spoke of a new agreement on Iran's nuclear program, requiring Iran to stop developing ballistic missiles, release US citizens held in its custody, stop support for terrorist groups, and shut down heavy-water nuclear reactors. "We will ensure free navigation of water in the region and we will prevent any malicious Iranian activity, especially on the electronic level, and we will follow and crush the Iranian activists and Hezbollah agents working around the world," Pompeo said. He stressed that Iran would not succeed in imposing its control over the Middle East, adding that the United States hopes that its efforts to achieve peace and security are fruitful for the people of Iran, who has long suffered.
