Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah, Advisor-Royal Court and General Supervisor of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSRelief), met here today with members of the Arab Group of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). During the meeting, Dr. Al Rabeeah highlighted the educational projects implemented by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including 32 projects for the needy countries at a cost of USD 6,305 million. KSRelief General Supervisor also added that the center carried out 419 humanitarian and relief projects for the needy countries, including 122 projects in Yemen with 122 local, regional, UN and international partners, affirming that KSRelief works in accordance with the international humanitarian law without discrimination. He added that the center coordinates with the UN Coordination Bureau and the Coalition Forces Military Coordination Office to ensure the access of the assistance via air, sea and land ports, adding that 22,000 clearances were issued until today. The KSRelief General Supervisor stressed that 21 ports in Yemen are open for the entry of commercial goods, humanitarian materials and fuel, highlighting the obstacles facing the humanitarian aid by the Houthi militias. On Syria, Dr. Al Rabeeah asserted that the Kingdom provided various humanitarian projects and programs for the Syrian people since the beginning of the crisis at a cost of $ one billion, highlighting the KSRelief's projects for the refugees in the Rohingyan minority in the Cox-Bazar region of the Republic of Bangladesh. In turn, the Arab Group lauded the great efforts exerted by the Kingdom, through the KSRelief, for the needy people around the world.
