The spokesman of the coalition forces to support the legitimacy, in Yemen, Col. Turki Al-Maliki announced that at 12:46 minutes of the noon of this day, the Coalition air defense forces monitored launching of a ballistic missile by Iranian-backed Houthi militias from inside Yemeni territories (North of Imran) towards the territories of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Col. Al-Maliki stated that the missile was directed towards Najran city in a deliberate launching by the militias to target civilian and populated areas, but the coalition air defense forces successfully intercepted it, resulting in scattering of missile's fragments over residential areas, while no injuries or damages were reported up to preparing the statement. Such a hostile act committed by the Iranian-backed Houthi militias has proved that continued involvement of the Iranian regime in supporting the Houthi armed militias with qualitative capabilities, in a clear act of defiance of the UN resolutions 2216 and 2231, respectively, in order to threaten the security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the regional and international security, as firing of ballistic missiles, at populated towns and villages, is contrary to international humanitarian law, Col. Al-Maliki added to concluded.
