The officials of National Program for Exhibitions and Conferences have recently held talks with their counterparts of China Sichuan Exhibition Authority in the presence of an official from the Chinese Ministry of Commerce. The Saudi side was represented by Executive Director of the National Program Engineer Tareq bin Abdulrahman Al-Issa and a number of officials. The meeting resulted in several recommendations including: - A visit by a Saudi delegation to Western China International Fair (WCIF) to be held in September 2018 to evaluate the exhibition and be briefed about the opportunities of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's participation in it in 2020 in coordination with Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage (SCTH) and Ministry of Commerce and Investment. - Holding Talks with Saudi Airlines and Chinese Airlines to discuss opportunities to open direct flights from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Chengdu, China. - Targeting a number of Chinese companies to enter the Saudi meeting industry, brief them on foreign investment regulations through Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority and invite them to participate in Saudi Meeting Industry Convention 2019.
