Spokesman of Coalition Forces Supporting Legitimacy in Yemen Colonel Turki Al-Malki said in a statement today that at 09:31 p.m., the Coalition's air defense forces detected the launch of a ballistic missile from the territory of Yemen towards the territory of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He said that the missile was fired towards Jazan and was deliberately launched to target civilian and populated areas where the missile was intercepted and destroyed by the Saudi Royal Air Defense Forces resulted in scattering the shrapnel debris on the residential neighborhoods and there was no reports of any casualties or damage until the time of preparing this statement. Colonel Al-Maliki also said that this hostile action by Al-Houthi coup militia supported by Iran proves the continued involvement of the Iranian regime in supporting Al- Houthi armed militia with qualitative capabilities in a clear and explicit defiance and violation of UN Resolutions No. 2216 and No. 2231 in order to threaten the security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the regional and international security, pointing out that firing ballistic missiles at populated cities and villages is contrary to international humanitarian law, citing Al-Houthi actions as a dangerous development in the war of terrorist organizations and those behind them, the state sponsors of terrorism such as Iran's regime.
