The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud chaired the Cabinet's session at Al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh on Tuesday afternoon. At the outset of the session, the King briefed the Cabinet on the telephone call made to President Donald Trump of the United States of America during which the two countries stressed their firm positions on a number of regional and international issues, the Kingdom's firm position towards the Palestinian cause, and the President's commending of the official visit of HRH Crown Prince to the United States of America, fruitful meetings and signing important agreements benefiting the two friendly countries. The King appreciated the United States President's emphasis on the necessity of confronting the Iranian threat aiming to destabilize the region, the statement issued by the White House on its strong stand towards Houthi militias who continue their aggressions supported by Iran, the confirmation of the Kingdom's efforts to find a political solution to the Yemeni crisis and provide humanitarian and relief support for the Yemeni people, as well as commending what has been achieved within coordinated international efforts to combat Daesh (ISIS) terrorist organization in Iraq and Syria, and the necessity for finding a solution to the Syrian crisis. The King also briefed the Cabinet on the phone call made to President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi of the Arab Republic of Egypt during which the King congratulated the President on winning presidential elections and the confidence of the Egyptian people, and emphasis on distinguished relations between the two countries and their brotherly peoples. Minister of State, Cabinet's Member and Acting Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Essam bin Saad bin Saeed said in a statement to Saudi Press Agency following the session that the Cabinet expressed its appreciation for the King's approval of what has been submitted by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Vice President of the Council of Ministers, and Minister of Defense to disburse a financial reward for Saudi students on scholarships as well as students studying at their own expenses at universities recognized in all countries of the world, and joining students studying at their expenses who have completed the necessary conditions with the educational mission within Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Program for Foreign Scholarship.
