Human Rights Watch said today that Houthi militias in Yemen violated the laws of war by launching ballistic missiles indiscriminately at populated areas in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. "The Houthis should immediately stop their indiscriminate missile attacks on populated areas of Saudi Arabia. Long-range missiles, are usually indiscriminate missiles like Borkan H2 or Gaher M2", said Sarah Leah Whitson, Middle East and North Africa Director at Human Rights Watch. "When these attacks are intentionally or indiscriminately directed at populated areas or civilian targets, they violate the laws of war and those who have ordered such attacks are held accountable for war crimes", Whitson added.
