As many as 32 Saudi nationals have been arrested yesterday for illegally assembled in front of Taif Governorate to protest a municipality committee decision to eliminate the rest houses they have constructed on governmental lands. A security spokesman of the ministry of interior said in a statement that the security authorities ordered their arrest, citing that they have violated regulations barring use of government land plots without permission, insisted not to obey municipality instructions to remove the facilities by themselves during a grace period offered to them, organized an illegal gathering to protest the municipality decision, and followed a wrong and misleading behavior to forward their complaint to the concerned authorities. According to these considerations, the security authorities managed to shoulder its responsibilities to take a deterrent act against the leaders of the illegal assembly and those involved and send them to general prosecution for legal procedures to take place.
