On the sidelines of the current visit of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, Crown Prince, Vice President of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Defense, to the United States of America, the Saudi Cyber Security and Programming Federation today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Raytheon Company, a specialist in the field of defense, security and civil technologies and innovation. The MoU was co-signed by the Federation's Vice Chairman, on behalf of the Federation's Chairman of the Board of Directors Saud bin Abdullah Al-Gahtani and Raytheon's Executive Officer Dr. Thomas Kennedy. The MoU aims at organizing competitions among universities in cyber defense as well as launching live mathematics programs for programmers and creating industrial partnership opportunities with Saudi specialists. Following the signing ceremony, Legal Advisor Saud Al-Gahtani, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Federation, said that this agreement would effectively contribute to promoting the skills of trainees to guarantee building a strong base for spreading the cyber security culture and illuminate people about its importance in addition to its contribution to cooperation with universities through holding specialized events, activities and competitions in this field.
