Iraqi President Fuad Masum received here yesterday the Saudi media delegation, in presence of Saudi ambassador to Iraq Abdulaziz Al-Shammari. During the meeting, the Iraqi President affirmed that the Saudi-Iraqi relations are based on strong fundamentals, stressing his country's keenness on developing relations between the two brotherly countries in various fields. The Iraqi President confirmed that Iraq is an active party of solving conflicts and will not be a part of any regional conflicts, adding that Iraq rejects any foreign interferences in the regional countries' affairs. He lauded the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's stances supporting and standing by Iraq, hailing the Kuwaiti stance in supporting Iraq through holding the Reconstruction Conference in Kuwait. The Iraqi president also highlighted the economic fields and promising opportunities in Iraq. On the other hand, the Saudi media delegation visited here yesterday the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate and was briefed on its activities. Then, the Saudi delegation met here yesterday with Iraqi Minister of Labor and Industry Mohammad Shiaa Al-Sudani where they discussed ways of encouraging investment as well as economic and industrial cooperation between the two countries. The Saudi media delegation also met here yesterday with Iraqi Interior Minister Qassim Al-Araji who accompanied the delegation in a free tour in Baghdad.
