Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Awwad bin Saleh Al-Awwad, who is also chairman of the board of directors of the General Commission for Culture, stated to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) that no other authority will have the right to speak about matters assigned to the General Commission for Culture. Accordingly, what has been circulated today, Thursday 6 Jamadar Al-Akher 1439 H. corresponding to February 22, 2018, regarding the Opera House, building it and issuing its special licenses is an interference by His Excellency the chairman of the General Authority for Entertainment as the General Commission for Culture is the authority concerned of that matter.
His Excellency the minister called upon the media outlets to obtain news from their legally accredited sources according to systems and instructions.
