The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud chaired the Cabinet's session at Al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh on Tuesday afternoon. At the outset of the session, the King briefed the Cabinet on the message received from President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow of Republic of Turkmenistan, and his meeting with Acting Minister of Planning and Commerce of Republic of Iraq Dr. Salman Al-Jumaili. The Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Awwad bin Saleh Al-Awwad said in a statement to Saudi Press Agency that the Cabinet reviewed latest developments in the region and the world including developments at the Yemeni arena. In this regard, the Cabinet appreciated the King's directives to deposit two billion US dollars in the account of Yemeni Central Bank raising the total deposits to the Bank three billion US dollars, as an extension of the Kingdom's interest in supporting the brotherly Yemeni people, alleviating their sufferings, and assisting them to cope with economic burdens inflicted on them as a result of crimes and violations of Iranian Houthi militias plundering the state's resources and seizing its revenues. The Cabinet welcomed the announcement of the comprehensive humanitarian aid plan in Yemen following the meeting of the foreign ministers of coalition countries for supporting the legitimacy in Yemen held in Riyadh yesterday including the contribution of the coalition countries with a sum of $ 1.5 billion, a percentage of more than 50% of the humanitarian response plan for Yemen issued by the United Nations for the year 2018. --More 14:23 LOCAL TIME 11:23 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/1712602
