Advisor to the Royal Court and General Supervisor of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabiah announced that the coalition countries will donate 1.5 billion US dollars and more than 50% of Yemen's humanitarian response plan issued by the United Nations for 2018, stressing that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates will commit $ 1 billion of this amount and the rest of the coalition will commit to the remaining $ 500 million to complete the $ 1.5 billion. This came in a speech at the press conference of the foreign ministers' meeting of the coalition members to support the legitimacy in Yemen to announce the comprehensive humanitarian plan for humanitarian operations in Yemen. He stated in details the percentages and sectors that will receive the amount committed by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. Dr. Al-Rabiah said that the support of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud to the Central Bank of Yemen by two billion dollars is a confirmation of the leading role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to support and end the suffering of the Yemeni people. Dr. Al-Rabiah said that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has been and continues to provide Yemen and its people with all the attention and support for the ties between the two countries of neighborhood, language, religion, social, family and economic ties, stressing that the Kingdom and the Arab coalition countries are at the forefront of the countries supporting Yemen and its people. He stated that in the past three years, the kingdom has provided support to Yemen and its people for more than 10.4 billion US dollars.
