Meetings of Arab Coalition Supporting the Legitimacy, in Yemen, kicked off here tonight to review a plan on comprehensive humanitarian operations, to back up UN affiliate humanitarian organizations' workings, in the country. At the outset of the meetings, Foreign Minister Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir welcomed the audience, saying that the meeting falls in the context of ongoing consultation and coordination among the concerned, in our countries, asserting the coalition endeavor to restore legitimacy, in Yemen, in order to give a hand to the Yemenis, in all fields and pointing that a big working plan will be announced, later on tonight, for humanitarian aid provided by the coalition countries to the brethren, in Yemen, following the meeting, and adding that it will exceed, in worth, $1 billion. As you know, he stated, our countries, especially the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, have provided Yemen with a lot of assistance worth as many as $900 million, while in the few past years, Saudi aid to Yemen exceeded more than $8 billion, drawing attention that the Kingdom territories have been targeted by over than 90 Iranian made ballistic missiles, launched by the Iranian-backed Houthis, in addition to as many as another 250 ballistic missiles that targeted Yemeni towns and villages, alike. Al-Jubeir confirmed that the Houthi militias shall be hold responsible for wreaking havoc, in Yemen, adding that they are keeping their old practices of looting humanitarian aid and hampering delivering it to the needy beneficiaries, concluding that: We are working on devising a mechanism with the international community, UN agencies and relief organizations, in order to guarantee deliverance of aid to the beneficiaries, in addition to working with the UN envoy to Yemen, to push the peaceful political process forward, in Yemen, and that we are committed to a peaceful solution based on the terms of the main three references, namely the Gulf sponsored initiative, outputs of the Yemeni National Dialogue and the UN Resolution no. 2216.
