In reference to the Royal Decree no.: (A / 86) dated 18/04/1439 AH, which included the payment of a monthly cost of living allowance of SR1,000 for citizens, working as civil or military employees, for one year, the addition of a monthly cost of living allowance of SR500 for the beneficiaries paid by the Public Pension Agency or the General Organization for Social Insurance, for one year and a cost of living allowance for the monthly appropriation for social security beneficiaries, for a year, as well as the payment of a reward of SR5,000, for the military, deployed in the front lines of military actions; the Southern border. And in accordance with the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (SAMA), asserting that the banks must not affect the cost of living allowance and the reward paid as per his royal order and that banks should not deduce amounts from these allowances and rewards, for repayment of personal loans or other financial obligations. SAMA affirms that all banks should implement the royal directives and avoid the affecting the aforementioned beneficiaries' reward and allowances, on application of periodic deductions. In case of a wrong deduction of the allowances and rewards mentioned in the Royal Order, banks must refund deducted amounts, within a maximum period of 48 hours, SAMA stated, adding that, it calls on all bank customers to exercise their rights guaranteed by the system and the regulations issued by it, to file complaint with SAMA's Customer Protection Department, in the event of any violation or damage to them, by calling toll free direct number: 8001256666 or by contacting it through the website, or reporting to the Serving the Public, at the headquarters of the institution of SAMA.
