The Vice President of King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy, head of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia delegation participating in the eighth session of The International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) Dr. Waleed Hussain Abulfaraj has affirmed that the Kingdom is working within the framework of the Vision 2030 and the National Transition Program 2020 to build a sustainable renewable energy sector including industries and services. In the Kingdom's speech at the opening session yesterday in Abu Dhabi, he pointed out that the objectives in the field of renewable energy were set with a capacity of 9.5 GW as a first stage by 2023 including solar, wind, geothermal and transforming waste into energy.
