KSA to Participate in Dubai Air Show 2017, by Antonov (AN-132)

In an important step to market Antonov (AN-132) aircraft regionally and globally, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) is set to participate, in Dubai Air Show 2017, by Antonov (AN-132).
KSA will participate in Dubai Air Show 2017, in its 15th edition, during the period from 12-16 November 2017, presented by King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) and TAQNIA Aeronautics.
KACST will show with its allies TAQNIA Aeronautics and Antonov, an Ukrainian Company, during the participation in the exhibition Antonov Aircraft (AN-132) light, multi-purpose transport aircraft, which have been manufactured and developed by KACST, TAQNIA Aeronautics and Antonov Company.
This is an important step in the field of aircraft development, manufacture and marketing locally, regionally and globally, as well, KACST announced, in a statement here today.
The aircraft used in the Military transport of equipment and personnel, also it can absorb and transfer electronic warfare equipment and limited aerial sniping, the statement added, pointing that the aircraft is characterized by its ability to fly at a height of up to 28,000 feet with cargo capacity up to 9.2 tons and distance up to 2200 kilometers, and a distance of more than 4500 kilometers without cargo at 550 kph.
It is equipped with Pratt & Whitney engines A 150 with a force of 5070 horsepower per engine, Advanced Electronics System, Navigation system and several modern systems, according to the statement.
This is the second participation of Antonov Aircraft in an Air Show, where it previously participated in Paris Air Show 2017 in its 52th addition, by flying the first Saudi-Ukrainian plane by Saudi and Ukrainian pilots and several armed forces have indicated their willingness to know more information about this aircraft in preparation for their acquisition, the statement indicated.
Dubai Air Show, held in Dubai World Central, is one of the main aviation exhibitions which specialized in manufacturing and marketing of international aircraft products, the statement pointed out, adding that it is also the basic platform for launching the new orientations and discussing the issues which help on developing the aviation sector, in the Middle East, according to the statement.
The exhibition hosts 1200 companies which specialized in the military and civil aviation sectors, and more than 160 aircraft of the latest commercial, businessmen and military
aircrafts.
