Tunisia strongly condemned firing of a ballistic missile targeting the city of Riyadh, from inside Yemen. In a statement issued by the Tunisian Foreign Ministry here today, Tunisia rejected and condemned the targeting of civilian and populated areas, which is a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law. It renewed solidarity with Saudi Arabia, its keenness on its security and the security of the Gulf region. It is a serious escalation that hampers regional and international efforts aimed at reaching a political solution to the Yemeni crisis, the statement added, so as to preserve the unity of Yemen and put an end to the suffering of its people and contribute to security, peace and stability, in the region, it concluded.
