Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud sent a message to Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev. During a meeting here today, Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources Eng. Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih, currently on a visit to Kazakhstan, conveyed the royal message to the president. Following the meeting, President Nursultan Nazarbayev expressed appreciation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the Crown Prince and the leading role played by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and pride in friendship binding the two brotherly countries. Al-Falih reviewed with the Kazakh President the areas of cooperation and joint work between the two countries, including cooperation in efforts to rebalance the oil markets, which have resulted in a significant improvement in the markets, since the November Agreement in Vienna, which was an important turning point in oil markets, as an understanding was concluded, for the first time, between OPEC member states and other main producing countries, outside it. The meeting also discussed developments in the world oil markets, process of reducing production between producers inside and outside OPEC and commitment of participating countries to this agreement. Both countries stressed the need for the participating countries to adhere to the agreed and fully agreed reduction quotas. Preparations for the meeting between OPEC countries and the outside producers to be held in Vienna on November 30, 2017, and ways to make the meeting a success and support the recovery of the market and the global economy, which will achieve the interests of both countries and the interests of both oil exporting and importing countries. In overall, the meeting has dealt with latest developments related to agreements and memorandums of understanding signed between the two countries, in the fields of petroleum, petrochemicals, mining, space sciences and a number of joint projects.
