Director General of Civil Defense Major General Suliman bin Abdullah Al-Amro held here today a meeting with Acting EU Representative Lucia Manrique. During the meeting, Al-Amro briefed Lucia Manrique on the Civil Defense's experience and its executive mechanism of General Emergency Plan in Hajj in participation of 32 governmental bodies. He stressed the keenness of all governmental institutions participating in Hajj in order to achieve the highest security and safety standards for pilgrims, pointing out that the successes in Hajj and Umrah seasons were upon directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud through providing all potentials for Hajj success. Then, the EU delegation watched a documentary film about the Saudi Civil Defense and its experience in Hajj. For her part, Lucia lauded the efforts exerted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in serving pilgrims and the level of accuracy and coordination between all government agencies, despite the limited time and space. She confirmed that the plans implemented by the Civil Defense contribute to facilitate a movement of pilgrims and their security during Hajj.
