Saudi Ambassador to Kingdom of Bahrain Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulmalik Al Al-Sheikh has voiced the deep concern of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia over the forcible deportation of Muslim people in Rakhine State at the hands of Myanmar government. The ambassador urged the Myanmar government to respect its obligations towards its people and protect their human rights and stop its systematic policy of ethnic cleansing against the Muslim minority. He told Bahrain News Agency (BNA) that Myanmar's oppressive policy of forcible displacement and massacres against Rohingya Muslims contravenes all humanitarian values and international conventions. He said the dossier of the Muslim minority tops the Kingdom's priorities in view of the plight of the Rohingya Muslim population who suffered from inhumane suppression and forcible deportation and their citizenship rights were usurped by Myanmar's government. He lauded the Saudi initiative of calling the UN and all friendly nations to condemn Myanmar government and to end the plight of the Muslim minority. He urged all Muslim countries to adopt the issue of the Muslim Rohingya and to inform their problem to the international public opinion to pressurize Myanmar to stop its massacres and offer political and humanitarian solutions to alleviate the sufferings of these people to regain their rights. --More 13:35 LOCAL TIME 10:35 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/1676131
