Minister of Finance Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Jadaan participated in the meeting of the countries contributing to the Initiative for the Promotion of Entrepreneurship for Women, which was held here today, on the sidelines of the summit of leaders of the G20 countries, concluded today. German Chancellor Angela Merkel opened the meeting with US President Donald Trump, British Prime Minister Theresa May, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull, as well as a number of high-level representatives of other contributing countries in the initiative. The initiative was officially launched during the meeting. The initiative seeks to encourage investment and overcome barriers to women entrepreneurs' access to finance, as well as services that help promote the growth of women run small and medium size enterprises, including enhancing skills and technical assistance. The meeting was attended by the Secretary-General of the United Nations, President of the World Bank Group, the Director-General of the International Monetary Fund and the Secretary-General of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development.
