Several people were injured Monday in the north-eastern US city of Boston when a vehicle drove into a group of pedestrians, Massachusetts State Police said according to dpa. The incident occurred near Boston's Logan Airport, the police said on Twitter. "Preliminary reports indicate several pedestrians with injuries, varying severity," the state police said. It added that police, fire and other first responders were at the scene. At least nine people were injured, according to the Boston Globe on Twitter. The newspaper also quoted a law enforcement official who said it did not appear to be terrorism. Broadcast images of the scene showed what appeared to be a taxi that rammed into a building near an area of outdoor picnic tables.
