The death toll from the weekend explosion of an oil tanker in eastern Pakistan has risen to 153, local media reported on Monday, according to dpa. The tanker crashed and overturned early Sunday morning in the city of Bahawalpur. Many people, including children, had gathered around it to collect the oil when it exploded. Another 100 people were injured, according to the newspaper Dawn.
