The United Nations announced an unprecedented outbreak of cholera epidemic in Yemen and its rapid spread, resulting in tragic and catastrophic conditions for children. UNICEF's Spokeperson Christoph Boulierac said here today that was reported in a month about 70 thousand cases of cholera and 600 deaths, expecting number of cases to reach in next two weeks to 130 thousand cases. UNICEF called on the international community to exert more efforts to provide immediate support for relief efforts in Yemen in water, sanitation and nutrition fields, calling on also to urgently provide $ 16 million to respond to the spread of cholera in Yemen.
