The Joint Saudi-Finnish Economic Committee, chaired by the Ministry of Trade and Investment, held a meeting in the Finnish capital of Helsinki, during which a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Council of Saudi Chambers of Commerce and the Finnish Chamber of Commerce, it was reported here today. During the meeting, the two sides underscored the importance of the role of the joint committee in developing bilateral trade and investment between the two countries. The Kingdom's delegation presented a presentation on the Kingdom's Vision 2030 and the great facilities offered to foreign investors. The two sides discussed a number of issues on the agenda and agreed to strengthen economic and investment relations between the two countries. Cooperation partnerships and private sector investments in the fields of mining, geology, bio-economics, transport and communications, energy, environment, food and agriculture, education and health were also discussed. The delegation headed by Undersecretary for Foreign Trade, Abdulrahman Al-Harbi, and representatives of the Council of Chambers of Commerce and a number of businessmen, visited several governmental facilities during their stay in Helsinki. They met with a number of Finnish officials and businessmen. Meetings were also held with the Finnish Minister of Foreign Trade, government and private sectors officials.
