Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Awwad bin Saleh Alawwad has paid a visit to the headquarters of the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) here. Dr. Alawwad, accompanied by SPA President Abdullah bin Fahd Al-Hussein, made a tour during which he was briefed on the process of work in the departments of news, editing and photography and on SPA technical and editorial capabilities for working and dealing with various media sources. The Minister's tour included news editing, multi-language bulletins and translation departments, and computer and media centers during which he met their staff and was briefed on an explanation on the mechanism of work, stages of news broadcasting via SPA automatic system and transmitting on the agency's portal and new media devices.
