Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Okaz newspaper commended security forces for thwarting criminal attempts to infringe on the homeland's security, noting that the border guards foiled on Tuesday a terrorist attempt to blow up Saudi Aramco oil platform and distribution station in Jizan by using a booby-trapped boat launched from a small Yemeni island, indicating that Al-Houthi militias, the lackeys of Iran, stand behind such operations. Al-Youm newspaper commented on the Kingdom's aid to other countries, saying that the Kingdom ranks first in the world by the rate of its international assistance amounting to 1.9 percent of its gross domestic product for countries affected by wars or natural disasters. --More 11:15 LOCAL TIME 08:15 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/1621359
