Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense, received here today US Defense Secretary James Mattis. During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways of enhancing them, as well as developing many programs and initiatives between the two countries. The two sides also discussed the challenges facing the region, especially the hostile practices of the Iranian regime and its role in destabilizing the security and stability in the region, joint efforts in combating terrorist organizations such as ISIS and Al-Qaeda, as well as joint efforts to maintain the security and stability of the region in general. The meeting was attended by Minister of State, Member of Cabinet Dr. Musa'ad Al-Aiban, Saudi Chief of Staff, Maj. General Abdulrahman Al-Bunyan, Gen. Prince Fahd bin Turki bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Commander of Ground Forces, Commander of Paratroopers and Security Forces, Minister of State for Arab Gulf Affairs Thamer Al-Sbahan, and a number of senior civil and military officials from the both sides.
