The Ministry of Justice launches an electronic service to access the real estate ownership data via its portal, which is concerned in its first stage with providing information on the data of deeds of corporate properties, including areas reaching to one billion seven hundreds and ninety-one million square meters owned by only (3471) companies in the Kingdom. This electronic service will be available once the beneficiaries provide a deed's number, or a number of piece of land or of a plot. The service requires the inquiring person to first log in the database before receiving a text message sent to his cellular phone showing data of real estate properties owned by companies in the Kingdom. By this qualitative increase in the transparency criteria, the Ministry of Justice launches an individuals' or companies' public inquiry service in the field of property documentation and provides beneficiaries with real estate property data for companies in the Kingdom. This service contributes among other Ministry's projects to highly raise the Kingdom's investment competitiveness rating for the aim of reaching advanced positions in the real estate investment data among other countries, whereas the World Bank's recommendations included the Transparency Information Index as a main factor for the Land Management System. The number of corporate-owned deeds totals 187,969, of which 225,259 are real estate (the number of properties belonging to these deeds), the total areas of deeds that can be accessed by this service is 1,791,575,349 square meters (total area of the deeds) owned by 3471 companies in the Kingdom.
