At least 60 people have been killed in clashes between government soldiers and an armed militia group in Congo, officials said Saturday. Most of those killed belonged to the Kamwena Nsapu militia, local authorities told dpa. The militia were attacking three villages in the Mweka region of the Kasai province in the center of the country. The final death toll may rise, Mweka administrator Jean Shesh said. Troops are patrolling the area following the clashes.
