Malaysian media outlets spotlighted the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' exhaustive speech, on Saturday, during a dinner banquet held by Sultan Mohammed IV, the Malaysian Monarch, in the grace of the visiting Saudi King, on his official visit to Malaysia, in which he expressed thanks and gratitude of the fraternal Malaysian government and people for the distinct reception and hospitality accorded to the King and the accompanying delegation, praising the prominent level that the bilateral relations as well as the cooperation reached, in all domains, in addition to the anticipations to promote and consolidate them, to best serve mutual interests. The daily New Straits' Times reported that the comments of the Saudi King is not strange for the Kingdom and its people, as the Kingdom is used to spare no effort, in order to realize the interests of the Ummah and its progress, indicating that such a visit is contributing towards achieving that goal. Malaysia, the government and the people, alike, the paper asserted, harbor cordiality, appreciation and estimation for the King and the People of Saudi Arabia, to display the broadness of government and people's attention towards the visit, and pointing to the Malaysian Monarch decoration of the Saudi King with the Crown Order, the highest of Malaysian insignia. Reviewing the bilateral Saudi-Malaysian trade exchange volume, the paper stated that the Kingdom is among the biggest Malaysian trade partners, drawing attention to the gross volume of the trade standing at $ 3.17 billion, in 2016, as it rose by 12.4% compared to $ 2.82 billion, in 2015, and uttering that more promising opportunities are lying ahead, at that significant aspect. For its part, the Malay Mail called the visit as very important in the history of the bilateral relations binding the two countries, adding that it constitutes a new era for ever increasing relations, in the political as well as the economic aspects. Other Malaysian press and media outlets displayed, also, in its various programs aspects and consequences of the visit, as it serves the interest of the two sisterly countries, pointing that roads and plazas in the capital city of Kuala Lumpur, were adorned and decorated by the portraits of King Salman and the flags of the Kingdom, welcoming this magnanimous visit.
