The Embassy of Malaysia in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has described bilateral Saudi-Malaysian relations as distinguished and nowadays are elevated to their highest levels. In a press statement exclusively to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) on the occasion of the visit of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to Malaysia, the Embassy of Malaysia said, "This important visit of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques comes to confirm the excellent relations between the two countries and promote them to greater prospects." This was evident by several Malaysian ministerial visits to the Kingdom to discuss topics of cooperation including bilateral relations, security in the region, defense, development of Islamic nation, Hajj matters, aviation and cooperation in higher education, economy and others. The Malaysian Prime Minister met with the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud in March 2016 where both leaders had the opportunities to exchange views on bilateral relationship of both countries. Apart from the Premier, the Deputy Premier of Malaysia and also Minister of Home Affairs too came to the Kingdom to further discuss matters related to security cooperation and counter terrorism. Malaysia is honored with the visit by King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to Malaysia this year, the first leg of his tour of the region after the accession to the throne. We are also honored that Malaysia has been selected by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as the guest of honor in the upcoming Riyadh International Book Fair 2017. The expected impact of the visit is to strengthen the relationship between the two countries. --More
