Minister of State for Arab Gulf affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Thamer Al-Sabhan met in Beirut with the chairman of Al-Katayeb party Sami Al-Jimayel and former president of Lebanon Amin Al-Jimayel. During the meeting, they reviewed the current developments at the regional and international arenas. In a statement following the meeting, Al-Jimayel said that the visit of Al-Sabhan is an opportunity to underscore the importance of preserving Lebanon's ties with all Arab countries, particularly the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, citing the historical relations between the Kingdom and Lebanon depicted always as positive. He called for consolidating diplomatic relations between Lebanon and the GCC countries and intensifying exchange of visits among senior officials of Lebanon and their Arab counterparts to encourage Arab investments in Lebanon. Earlier today, Al-Sabhan met with Wael Abu-Faoor, former minister and parliamentarian; Abdulrahim Murad, former minister; Fuad Makhzoomi, chairman of the National Dialogue party; Kamil Murad, a businessman; and discussed with them the latest developments in Lebanon and the region.
